What Does the Porto.CARD Offer? A Value-for-Money Check

The Porto.CARD includes a number of services, such as free and unlimited use of the metro and STCP city buses.

For comparison: a public transport–only ticket (“Andante Tour”) costs €16 for three days in 2025.
The Porto.CARD costs €32 for the same period – €16 more.

However, for this additional amount, you receive more than 130 discounts in addition to unlimited public transport. Examples include:

How much can you really save on sightseeing with the Porto.CARD?
We calculated a typical day in Porto as an example:

  • Hop-on Hop-off sightseeing bus: €6.75 savings
  • Torre dos Clérigos: €2.50 savings
  • Casa do Infante Museum: €4.00 savings
  • Douro River boat tour: €4.00 savings
  • Public transport: unlimited use, no additional cost
    (Standard metro ticket price: €1.40 (Z2, 2025)

Total savings: €17.25

This means that on our example day, you save €17.25 compared to regular prices.
